He has leaded the design and construction of numerous bridges and viaducts. The most outstanding ones included several stretches of the motorway between Barcelona and the French border and the Bilbao \u2013 Zaragoza motorway. \u00a0Outside of Spain, in Argentina, he leads the \u201c9 de Julio\u201d Urban Highway Viaducts project in Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n<p>In 1987 he founded EIPSA (Estudio de Ingenier\u00eda y Proyectos) dedicated to Structural Engineering, which he ran for 25 years, where he has designed numerous bridges, viaducts and footbridges of the most varied types, built throughout the Spanish geography, as well as several in other countries.<\/p>\n<p>He has developed the project and construction systems of the first viaducts made in Spain for the railway, using the launching deck procedure, belonging to the Madrid-Seville High-Speed stretch, which have been followed by several large viaducts for all other High-Speed lines, existing in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>Among the achievements of road bridges, the Alcon\u00e9tar Viaduct stands out, over the Alc\u00e1ntara Reservoir, made up of arches with a span of 220 m, being the largest in the world built by means of the assembly procedure of semi-arches in a vertical position and subsequent rotating and lowering until its closure in key.<\/p>\n<p>At a later stage, since 2017, he develops the professional activity as an Independent Consulting Engineer.<\/p>\n<p>In the educational aspect, he has developed the work as Professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (School of Civil Engineers), for nine years.<\/p>\n<p>He is the author of numerous articles in national and international technical journals. Ha dirigido el proyecto y construcci\u00f3n de numerosos puentes y viaductos, gran parte de ellos, en las Autopistas del Mediterr\u00e1neo y Autopista Vasco-Aragonesa.\u00a0 Fuera de Espa\u00f1a, en Argentina, dirige el proyecto de los Viaductos de la Autopista Urbana \u201c9 de julio\u201d, en Buenos Aires.\r\n\r\nEn 1987 funda EIPSA (Estudio de Ingenier\u00eda y Proyectos) dedicada a la Ingenier\u00eda Estructural, que dirige durante 25 a\u00f1os, donde ha proyectado numerosos puentes, viaductos y pasarelas peatonales de las m\u00e1s variadas tipolog\u00edas, construidos por toda la geograf\u00eda espa\u00f1ola, as\u00ed como varios en otros pa\u00edses.\r\n\r\nHa desarrollado el proyecto y sistemas constructivos de los primeros viaductos empujados en\u00a0Espa\u00f1a para ferrocarril, pertenecientes a la l\u00ednea del AVE Madrid-Sevilla a los que han seguido\u00a0varios viaductos de grandes dimensiones para todas las restantes l\u00edneas de ferrocarril de Alta\u00a0Velocidad, existentes en Espa\u00f1a.\r\n\r\nEntre las realizaciones de puentes de carretera, es destacable el Viaducto Alcon\u00e9tar, sobre el Embalse de Alc\u00e1ntara constituido por arcos de 220 m de luz, siendo los mayores del mundo construidos mediante el procedimiento del montaje de semiarcos en posici\u00f3n vertical y posterior abatimiento hasta su cierre en clave.\r\n\r\nEn una etapa posterior, desde el a\u00f1o 2017 desarrolla la actividad profesional como Ingeniero Consultor Independiente.\r\n\r\nEn la faceta educativa, ha desarrollado la labor como Profesor en la Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid (Escuela de Ingenieros de Caminos), durante nueve a\u00f1os.\r\n\r\nAutor de numerosos art\u00edculos en revistas t\u00e9cnicas de \u00e1mbito nacional e internacional.
